I am a new mom to an 8 week old boy. I will need to find childcare for him to start in late October. He will be 4 and a half months old at the time. I have looked on craigslist as well as various search engines but have not found anything satisfactory as of yet. I am looking for a daycare center or a family daycare situation. I live on the UWS at 110th st but work in north brooklyn on the border of brooklyn and queens. Can someone please reccomend a daycare? Thanks!

Have you had any luck yet? I noticed another childcare search engine on another discussion board the other day that seems to provide a nice map of childcare providers in Brooklyn. I've been in your situation and could have used this to see where the centers were in relation to where I live, so I thought I'd share it with you.
